We have two types of murder/mystery to choose from.

Dinner Party Murder/Mystery Games are designed to be played round a table, or when everyone is sitting together. The game is played in 3 rounds and includes a few lines of scripted dialogue and questions to get you started. There is also an Inspector character that provides a summary and, eventually, the solution.

Dinner Party Murder/Mystery Games are also great for beginners.

Mix & Mingle Mysteries are best played at a party with a buffet, so that everyone has a chance to move around to talk to each other. The game is still played in three rounds with more information released in each round, but also include more variation in the types of clues (maps, letters, etc.), gives the opportunity for players to make alliances, and generally helps to make you feel like you are really in the middle of a murder/mystery.

A Murder Mystery Party Game from Murder In The House is a great affordable way to spend an evening of intrigue and suspense with your friends in your own home. Decorate your house or garden and have all your guests in fancy dress to immerse yourself in a world of murder/mystery clues, twists and turns. Your guests are the suspects and the detectives, but can you solve the case before the end of the evening?

It really is up to you how far you want to go in running these games (short of actually committing any murders of course!)
